The second PowerPoint is designed to develop editing skills. I identified specific problems, described them to illustrate the problem, and then updated the solution. And finally, a challenge. It’s hard for you great writers to demonstrate that good writing becomes great writing. So here’s an example. This is a very competent text that does most of the things we expect students to do. But immediately after it comes the work of the original novelist. The differences are a fascinating exercise in style.
