Gmail: Sending Email
To start a formal e-mail, write “Dear Sir/Madam”, the recipient’s name and a comma on the first line. If you don’t know the name, use “Regards” instead of “Dear Sir or Madam.” “Sir”, “Mrs”, “Dr.” or write “Professor” and use the person’s last name instead of their first name to be extremely formal. Then press Enter to move to the next line and introduce yourself in the introductory sentence. If you already know the person, you can start with a sentence like “I hope you are well.” Read on for tips on creating an official email! Email marketing is like the Toyota of digital marketing strategies. It has been around for ages and when properly maintained will bring long term success to your marketing efforts. But even though email marketing is still incredibly effective today, creating copy for those emails has never been easier.
In fact, nearly 50% of survey respondents said creating compelling content was their biggest email marketing challenge.
(And one could argue that compelling content in the subject line and body of an email contributes to higher open and click-through rates, so email copywriting may have something to do with it.)
Whether you’re launching a new product, communicating with a customer, or simply confirming a purchase, it’s never as easy as it seems. To save you the time you have to spend crafting effective email copy yourself, I’ve put together these handy email examples and templates—for just about anything.
How To Set Up A Professional Email Address (+examples)
I wasn’t kidding when I said I created email templates for everything under the sun. In fact, there are many 34 examples and templates here. To save you the hassle of scrolling and searching, I’ve created a nice little table of contents so you can find exactly what you need for your small business.
I’m so glad that copying and pasting these email templates can do wonders in making your life easier and making your brain a little less angry. But before we begin, let’s discuss a few things:
These examples are for email copy only. Some, but not all, of them contain simulated branding, footers, or social media elements; and they should not serve as a template for your email design. Good, targeted marketing emails often include branded headers and footers with your website, social media addresses and other contact information, and should always include an unsubscribe option. You may also want to add graphic elements for added appeal. If you need help with emails, check out these email marketing best practices and tips on formatting, spam compliance, headers and footers, and more. Check out the tips for
Here’s an example of a complete marketing email from WordStream. Of course, this isn’t the only way to design an email, it just gives you a header, footer, unsubscribe feature, and more. is to give an idea about.
How To Use Email Segmentation To Improve Email Marketing Roi
For the avoidance of doubt, my name is not Jane and I am neither a Director of Customer Relations nor a Google Ads expert for any company. I just wanted to add a header signature to show how nice it looks in an email. The companies and information in these examples are also 100% fictitious. Some cities don’t exist, zip codes are incorrect, and website names are completely wrong.
The main goal of these small business email examples and templates is to save you the stress [read: mental agony] of creating email copy from scratch (we have an E-Mail subject line guide). Use them as a starting point, but then customize them to match your brand identity in terms of format, style and tone.
At the end of this post, I provide some key points from these email examples and templates that you should consider when creating your own email templates. This is not an exhaustive list of email marketing best practices, but it should give you some guidelines to get you started!
There are many common emails your business uses – to respond to inquiries, welcome new subscribers and customers, confirm automatic payments, and more. Here you will find some examples and templates for these purposes.
