. It discusses the legal and technical details of how to set up your own business entity and offers advice on how to get your company off the ground.

This is a useful guide for starting your own company. In addition to covering the legal and technical basics of starting a business, it also covers details such as which state(s) to form, how to raise funds for your company, corporate formalities, business tax exemptions, and other topics of interest. It attracts the attention of business owners and entrepreneurs.

The most important part of the book for aspiring business owners is the first three chapters, which include a list of business entities in the United States and explain why it is important to structure your company as a legal business entity to protect your assets and assets. Limit your liability. A menu of business establishments in the United States includes:

The book describes each of these assets in detail, helping the reader understand which works best in which situations. Knowing what business units are available to you and how each one works is critical for any entrepreneur, which is why I think the first three sections are incredibly important.

Another helpful way the book reviews concepts is through case studies. When studying business, case studies help illustrate abstract and theoretical ideas by applying them to real-world situations. At the end of the day, business is a practical skill, so case studies are important. Throughout the book, Sutton uses case studies that give the reader a chance to see how the topics discussed play out in real life.

While the book starts with the basics for new business owners and entrepreneurs, it gets more technical as you progress. But knowing the next chapters is still useful. Some of the business situations discussed may not occur to every entrepreneur, but if you do, it’s worth a read. But you will often have specialists who deal with the more technical aspects of running a business, which will be explained in later chapters. In fact, it would be foolish to handle some of these aspects yourself instead of hiring professional lawyers and accountants to handle them for you. A CEO needs to handle tax forms, audits, legal filings, etc. rather than handing them over to experts and focus on the business side of the job. Handling the work will be inefficient.

My biggest criticism of the book is that it only discusses how to start a business in the United States. The United States is not a good country to include. Many other countries have business-friendly laws, and by ignoring them the book deprives the reader of information about the best options for business trips.

Additionally, there are many people who want to do business outside the United States or who do not want to do business in the United States. If so, a more global perspective on the book would be helpful.

Thinking Of Selling? Check Yourself … Legally

Even for readers who primarily want to do business in the United States, this is still a great option for incorporating abroad. Many multinational companies are located abroad to take advantage of business-friendly laws.

Garrett Sutton’s book is a great guide for those just starting out in business. Later chapters can be more helpful, as most of the basics should be known to those who have already started a business. However, the book focuses only on the United States and does not discuss overseas strategies useful for business owners and entrepreneurs. So I can say

It is a useful guide but is by no means comprehensive as it does not have a global perspective.
