In this guide, we detail a variety of data collected from 40+ experiences to tell you what to expect when it comes to salary and compensation in 2022.

Our survey included demographic questions such as location and age. We also asked about education, type of practice, licensing, length of practice, salary and benefits.

We collect data through an extensive and reliable Brand Your Practice mailing list. Data collection for this report was done in April 2022. After collecting the results of 46 surveys, we concluded the survey.

Most doctors must have a master’s degree or higher to practice. Licensing is required in every state. However, there are states that allow those with a bachelor’s degree to obtain a license. The majority of our survey respondents had a master’s degree (76.6%), followed by a PhD or PsyD (17%).

In addition to having a master’s degree, 89% of our respondents indicated that they were fully licensed, while 8.5% were provisionally licensed and 2.1% were state certified.

As you can see, the difference between private pay and insurance rates is significant. Private pay rates are usually very high, allowing you to earn more per session.
