Kindergarten Beginning Of The Year

Kindergarten Beginning Of The Year – One of my favorite parts of the school day is reading aloud to my students. It allows me to share my love of reading and instill a love of books in my students. It’s a time when we can connect, share experiences, and build community. I often ask questions during readings, share ideas, and allow students to add their own ideas and ask questions.

Books at the beginning of the school year are a great way to discuss emotions, hopes, what makes a good friend, behavior, and more. I think these books are essential reading for children in your library or bookstore. their entertainment. Although preschoolers can’t read all the words in a book, they can “read” by looking at the pictures and retelling the story in their own words.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is another one of my favorite books to start the year in kindergarten. It is a good book to read as well as the beginning of our introductory letter. After listening to the story and dancing to the song on YouTube, the students each fill out the form as shown below.

This Chicka Chicka Boom Boom teaching companion includes printable pages to customize each student’s name, letterhead, and book cover. First, I use the paper for the first line of advertising. After downloading the page, I put the page in a bookmark. I put the cover in front of the clear window and put the textbook in our library for my students to read too.

Adding to the list is my own “work of the heart”, we put Kindergarten in Kindergarten! This story teaches children the powerful impact that extraordinary acts of kindness can have in and out of school. Following the story, we make a list of ways we can show kindness in school and at play. I completed the following artwork with my students in small groups. Students write their name in a heart. Since kids don’t start on their own at the beginning of the year, I ask each student how they can show kindness and record their words on Flipcraft. What is the main problem the teacher has in the story? For me, it teaches my kids to listen without stopping to tell me it’s their dog’s birthday or a special story! Listening is one of the most important skills we teach children. Stopping the chicken is a fun joke that reminds kids of the importance of good listening skills.
