So now finally what this post is actually about: identifying cheating behavior. Okay, so I know I’m no expert, but when I look back on my (now over) 7 year relationship, there were HUGE warning signs that my ex was cheating on me. I’m just sharing what I’ve observed and foolishly ignored.

Honestly, I refuse to believe that he can get along with others (YUCK) and I truly believe the best in him. To say I was in love with him would be an understatement, and my love and trust in him completely blinded me. But still, these are some of the things I have to deal with him to save myself a few years of shame and heartache.
TRUST me, I know you always want to believe the best about someone, but sometimes, if not always, actions speak louder than words.
If someone keeps messaging and talking to you and suddenly stops, it’s not a coincidence. Something is happening. It’s likely that if you ask a simple question like ‘how was your day’, you’ll get a half-hearted answer compared to the past where he would give a lot of details. Often this withdrawal comes from them filling that void by talking to other people. By the time you send a message, they’ve already told someone in detail what they did that day, so now they don’t want to repeat themselves to you.
Depending on how the other relationship is going, cheaters often show extreme mood swings. They can be angry with you or be kind and caring. Unless someone develops bipolar disorder overnight (highly unlikely, of course), there’s probably something going on. They may blame it on their job or family, but if the reasons are NOT consistent, you should be aware of other signs of cheating. I got a lot of bad excuses from my ex and they routinely changed because he cannot decide which one to use because the real reason is obvious because there are others, but he just can’t tell, right?

Here your partner will suddenly gift you with luxury items. If this isn’t something that will always happen in your relationship, you probably need to consider it. I want to believe forever that lovers are capable of being lovers all the time, but these sudden intense displays of love – not only materialistic but also emotional / attention – can be the result of one thing and one thing only : offense.
My ex once told me his phone was in airplane mode for a date night and the stupid one said, “Awww, that’s so cute, you don’t want someone to bother us.” Can anyone hear that damn cricket whistle. Let’s face it: no normal person with nothing to hide would put their phone on airplane mode while their significant other is around. It is clear that this is the case
I never dig dirt. I never checked his Facebook account, wanted to go through his phone – literally nothing. So the odd random times I wanted to get his password for his laptop while innocently trying to watch a YouTube video, he started acting shady and typed it himself. It really made it clear that he wasn’t going to give me his password. The same with his phone. I knew some friends would have gone crazy, but it just wasn’t in my soul to act like that, so I let it slide. If you really have nothing to hide, you shouldn’t have a problem giving your partner (S.O.) your passwords.
My ex tripped one day when my brother sent me a picture of him in a club with a girl hugging him. When I brought it up he went crazy and deleted my best friends on Facebook and blocked him. Very Ir. Always tends to be very aggressive when I confront him with accusations of cheating. He was so angry to the point that he was even more angry than me (fact: something that led to me ultimately deciding to cut him out of my life). Ummmm, if someone can’t stay cool, calm, and collected while answering simple questions, you must be wondering where that attitude problem comes from.

Your S.O. suddenly develop a new hobby without telling you? Drinking and still going out? Going out more than usual, or constantly without a break? I always send my ex away. I didn’t control him or ask him where he was going. When he developed a new habit of almost living in a club, all I said was ‘have fun’, ‘stay safe’. Clubbing was never my thing, so it didn’t convince me that he wanted to be there and seemed (now I found out) disgustingly drunk. Remember that he was

‘Its whole existence was (and still is) centered around clubbing, smoking (EWWWWWW) and drinking, so that became their new ‘thing’.
If someone is not man enough (brave enough) to break up with you, they will treat you badly in an attempt to reach a breaking point, hoping that you will break up with you. #COWARDY In principle this can be manifested in the behavior defined in points 1-7. Please remember that anyone who truly loves you does too

Wants to cause you all kinds of pain. Be aware when someone is trying to push you over the edge.
When there are rumors of cheating and someone comes to you to tell you that your S.O. is cheating – beware. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Rumors are always fueled by something. A random look at another person, a photo/video, a friend telling a friend.
Thing. In my case, as a public figure, I always have to deal with haters (some people were disgustingly aggressive when they approached me), so I could never have trusted what people said. But when 3-4 different people tell you something, you have to pay attention. Do your research. Find out more. If I had done this in 2015, I wouldn’t have wasted another 2 years on it
